Approximate live lengths; natural variation occurs. Age is only a starting point. Check your individual animal’s head and mouth size, and choose smaller if unsure.
Hatchling5–10mm
Very small hatchlings and tiny insect-eaters that can comfortably take this size.
Small10–12mm
Young or smaller insect-eaters, including young geckos and small juvenile lizards.
Medium12–20mm
Growing bearded dragons and other medium-sized juvenile insect-eaters.
Large20–30mm
Larger juveniles and medium-sized adult insect-eaters that already take this size comfortably.
